The Trip
Monkeys Resort has a set schedule with all stays being for 12 days with check-in on Fridays and check out Tuesdays. You will SURF EVERYDAY!
ITINERARY:
Thursday March 16
Arrive in Padang by midday. We set sail on our 45ft Italian built cabin cruiser between 2 and 3pm.
Friday March 17
Arrive at Monkeys pre-dawn, Enjoy a coconut drink whilst listening to a brief safety and intro to the Resort speech before getting your fins in for a sunrise session
March 17 to 28
Time to surf, eat, relax and enjoy yourself.
Tuesday March 28
Depart after lunch for the journey back to Padang.
Wednesday March 29
Our ground staff will transfer you to the Airport for departure that day, or to the hotel of choice for an overnight stay
INCLUSIONS
What is included in your package.
- Airport meet and greet and transfer to hotel or dock, depending on your arrival day and time.
- All surf transfers are included in your package and will be carried out in the comfort of our superfast speed boats.
- Three meals per day are prepared by our chefs; should you have special dietary requirements, please let us know in advance, and we are more than happy to cater specifically to them.
- Complimentary fresh fruit, tea, coffee, fruit juice and water.
- Use of all equipment and facilities at Monkeys resort, including fishing, SUP and snorkelling equipment, ping-pong, Bluetooth speakers, mag and book library and laundry service.
- Expert knowledge of your western guides who know this place like the back of their hand
Flights and documents
Passport validity / Visas Passports: must have at least 6 months validity from the return date for Indonesia, if not, the airline will deny you boarding. ….it is the responsibility of each guest to ensure your travel documents are up to date. At the time of writing, certain countries must pay $US50 for a VOA – (visa on arrival) into Indonesia, this is done within the airport prior to Immigration clearance. Australian citizens have now been added to the VOA ‘free list’, but only for max. 30-DAY STAY. Please ensure that you bring cash (Rupiah, US or AUD currency will be quicker). Padang Airport: Our English-speaking Staff will be at the airport to greet you and ensure that all of your luggage is taken care of and will take care of any unforeseen travel issues that may arise with airlines and/or ticketing. It is customary within Indonesian airports to use their porter services to help with your surfboards and baggage. Please have small money to tip your porter for his services (approximately Rp. 50,000 or $5.00 AUD). Our representative will be waiting outside the airport with a Monkeys Resort sign in clear view.
Insurances: As outlined in our terms and conditions it is mandatory for all guests to use a suitable Travel Insurance Policy to cover Medical Evacuation Emergencies (MediVac). A copy of your Travel Insurance Policy must always be carried with you. For those of you that wish to use your credit card travel insurance, please ensure that this covers medical evacuation in our region.

Guest Information:
On full payment of your trip (60 days prior to your departure date), you will receive a link to complete a “Monkeys Resort” Guest Registration form. Please fill out all details as this will ensure all airport transfers and logistics in Padang and Telo Islands run smoothly for your group.
Monkeys Resort is a tropical island in the Telo Island chain. Casual clothing and plenty of swimwear are the standard attire.
A light rain jacket can come in handy for seasonal showers or winds. Sun protection is important, so bring plenty of sunscreens, a hat, sunglasses and a rash guard/t-shirt.
Please ensure you pack any regular medications you are taking, and bring malaria prevention pills, pain killers, band-aids, mosquito repellent if you are prone to skin or ear infections, etc. Please bring items that you would require if these flare-up
